What "personalized" means here

  • The name: your child is the protagonist, addressed by name throughout
  • The age: sentence length, vocabulary and pacing adapt to their age
  • The favourites: a toy, an animal or a colour becomes part of the scenery
  • The challenge: the real situation you describe becomes the story's plot
  • The look: a consistent character design across all twelve pages

When parents use it

The most common situations are everyday ones rather than big events: fear of the dark, not wanting to share, hitting a wall with a new skill, being nervous about a first day somewhere. Because the story is written around that specific situation, it works as a rehearsal — your child meets the difficulty in a safe place, with themselves as the one who gets through it.

It is also a popular personalized gift: a birthday or holiday present that arrives with the child already inside it.

Personalized vs off-the-shelf

A shelf book is written for every child, which is why it can only ever be advice. A personalized story is written for one child, which is why it reads like something that happened to them. That difference is the entire point.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from a book with a printed name on the cover?

In most custom books the text is fixed and only the name changes. Here the story is written from scratch around your child: their age shapes the vocabulary, their favourite things appear in the scenes, and the challenge you describe becomes the plot.

What information do I need to provide?

A name, an age, a gender, a few favourite things, and a short description of the situation you want the story to address. That is the whole form.

Can I print the book?

Yes. Every storybook can be read on screen or downloaded as a PDF and printed at home.
